What is music? What does it do?

Mu-sic (myoozik): vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion.

 

Music is a combinations of sounds that creates one sound. These combinations of sounds can come in various styles. Whats the point of music? Why do people listen to it?

Music can do many things. When a person is creating a song, they are doing it for the passion of music; rather that be through vocals, instruments, or digital sounds. Some people create their music to get a point across or to portray a certain message. Some people make music to be creative and express themselves in a unique way; or even just to get a crowd jumping.

Listening to music can give you different feelings and thoughts, depending on what song or what genre of music you’re listening to. A song can make you feel sad, angry, happy, cool, etc; it always depends on how you’re receiving the song. Music works in many ways.
